It was freezing when I left my house this morning, but I refuse to let the summer disappear so quickly! And so, I take you back in time to a wedding we did this summer, on one of the hottest days in the year. I simply cannot get over how much fun this wedding was.
What I loved about Keri & Dave's wedding is that they focused on the fact that they would be bringing their families together as one. Keri wanted to get married exactly at sunset, with her son and Dave's son as the ring boys, and Dave's daughter as the flower girl. And so Dave strung light around the old oak tree and painted the swing for the kids to sit on and watch the ceremony.
The wedding was DIY. The bride did a fantastic job sticking to the budget. A lot of couples I meet are very keen on having a DIY wedding, but they don't understand how much time and work it actually is until the planning really starts. The great aspect about this wedding is in the details. I urge any DIY couples to truly consider what is important to THEM and stick to it! If you don't have a solid foundation, you simply can't build.
